WARNING: Extreme weather «Hans» with heavy rainfall in Southern Norway
A red-level warning for extremely heavy rainfall has been issued for parts of Southern Norway. The red-level warning is issued for Monday and Tuesday evening

Extreme amounts of rain and heavy rainfall is still expected on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. We expect most of the rainfall in western areas (map) from Tuesday afternoon to the early night of Wednesday, with 50-70 mm/24h. Locally, there may be even more. The highest hourly values are expected to be between 10-25 mm.

Extreme amounts of heavy rainfall, 80 -100 mm are expected within 24 hours. The warning is issued for the areas North of Oslo, Vestlandet, Møre & Romsdal and southern parts of Trøndelag.
The precipitation approaches from Sweden on Sunday evening and increases in intensity on Monday morning. The heaviest rainfall in Norway is expected from Monday afternoon to Tuesday afternoon. There is also a risk of heavy rainfall during the warning period, 20-35 mm per hour. Due to the uncertainty regarding heavy rainfall, it is also uncertain where exactly the highest daily values will occur.
In addition, an orange-level warning for rain is in effect, indicating 60-80 mm within 24 hours, as well as a yellow-level warning, indicating 40-60 mm within 24 hours, in the areas surrounding the red danger warning. Most counties in Southern Norway will be affected to a greater or lesser extent.
