WP4: Evaluation of consequence-based hazard warnings

Work package four is about improving the systematic and objective evaluation of hazard warnings at all hazard levels.

An evaluation system will be developed where all hazard warnings are evaluated against the forecasts, and in relation to whether the consequences were adequately warned (correctness, timeliness and impact on society). This will give us a better understanding of how we issue hazard warnings for the benefit of society. At the same time, the evaluation system will form the basis for continuous learning and improvement for each meteorologist and for the hazard warning service.
